Places worth seeing such as the fort, the prize winning Town and Industry Museum or the Late Romantic Verna Park tempt you to find out more about Rüsselsheim. This town on the River Main is also the birthplace of Riesling. The first time in the world that the Riesling vine was mentioned in a document was here in Rüsselsheim. Today, in remembrance, a vineyard is cared for by wine-grower friends. Friends of the arts value a visit to the art centre Opel Villas, the theatre or the Jazz-Factory. Guided tours are offered by the town especially for groups.
